Your files

ZipForge processes all files locally in your browser. When you compress or extract files, they are read into your device's memory, processed by JavaScript running on your device, and offered back to you as a download. Your files are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. We have no technical ability to see, store or access them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and whether the tools complete successfully. This data is aggregated and anonymous: IP anonymization is enabled, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or the names or contents of your files. Analytics events record only counts and sizes in aggregate (for example, "an archive was created").

Google Analytics uses cookies. You can block them with standard browser settings or extensions; every feature of ZipForge continues to work with cookies blocked.

Advertising

We display advertising served by Google AdSense to fund the site. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Advertising scripts have no access to the files you process — file data exists only in your browser's memory and is never part of any page content or request.

Contact form

If you use our contact form, the name, email address and message you provide are transmitted through Web3Forms and delivered to our support inbox. We use this information solely to reply to you and never share it with third parties.

Data retention

Files you process are held only in your browser's memory and disappear when you close or reload the page. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings (14 months). Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Since we hold essentially no personal data beyond contact emails, exercising these rights is simple: write to us and we will handle your request promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and revise the date above.
